Measurements to provide (in centimeters)

Priority measurements

  1. Total length of the qamis
→ From the top of the shoulder (near the neck) to the bottom of the qamis (above the ankle).
This is the most important measurement, as it determines the overall fit.
  2. Shoulder width
→ From one shoulder to the other, in a straight line, from end to end.
This ensures that the qamis fits well without pulling at the shoulders.
  3. Half chest circumference
→ Measure between the two armpits, without pulling tight.
This measurement affects the width of the torso and the overall ease of fit.
  4. Sleeve length
→ From the top of the shoulder to the wrist bone, with the arm slightly bent.
Essential measurement for ensuring the sleeves fit perfectly.
  5. Neck circumference
→ All the way around the neck, without pulling tight.
Essential for a well-fitted shirt collar.

Secondary measurements (optional but useful)

  1. Waist circumference
→ Around the stomach, at navel level.
This is mainly used to adjust the fit if the customer wants a more or less fitted style.
  2. Hip circumference
→ At the widest part of the hips.
Optional, useful for longer or flared styles.
  3. Arm circumference
→ At the widest part of the arm.
Helps prevent the sleeve from being too tight.
  4. Wrist circumference
→ Just above the wrist bone.
For styles with closed or buttoned cuffs.
  5. Width of the bottom of the qamis (hem)
→ Measure the desired width at the bottom of the garment.
Useful for symmetry and the final drape of the qamis.
